Dear Coastline Orthodontics Family,
Our team is working extremely hard to ensure our offices are ready to start seeing patients on May 8th. We are all looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines and most importantly seeing all of your beautiful smiles. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been and will continue to be a top priority for Coastline Orthodontics. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Control (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and so that we adhere to the agencies’ recommendations.
You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have invested time and resources into these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
Upon your arrival we will have a check-in table with a team member present. If you have any questions regarding your child’s treatment, please notify this team member. She will guide you through a questionnaire and give directions on when to enter the office. Please review the questions below. If the answer is yes to any question, please contact our office for instructions.
○ Have you or anyone you know come in contact with anyone that has traveled internationally in the last 7 days?
○ Have you been in close contact with another person who has been diagnosed with or is under investigation for having Covid-19?
○ Do you have a cough, fever, or shortness of breath?
○ Have you had the flu or flu-like symptoms in the last 7 days?
In addition to these items, there are many more precautions in place behind the scenes to ensure that we keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. If you would like more details on our COVID-19 protocol, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Finally, we appreciate your flexibility and understanding. The majority of our patients have missed an appointment during this time and we are working very hard to get everyone back on track as quickly as possible. We are grateful to have the opportunity to see patients again, however we will not be at normal volume immediately. We will need to prioritize overdue patients and make sure our new systems are efficient and safe. We are trying to be fair and responsible. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.
