I grew up in coastal North Carolina and always dreamed of living on or near the water. Some of my best memories are of fishing, clamming and boating with my family near the southern tip of the Outer Banks. As a student I managed to excel in science and math, even though my mind was usually on playing in the next basketball, baseball or football game. As a senior, I was excited to learn that I was accepted to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and enjoyed my years there (Michael Jordan made basketball games fun!) as a chemistry major and graduated from the UNC School of Dentistry.
During college I was fortunate enough to have orthodontic treatment. It was then that I learned about a career that would become my goal. This dream led me to a residency at Emory University in Atlanta. But, little did I know it would also lead me to my wife and a new home in Florida. I met my wife and partner, Suellen, in the dental school library. After we completed our residency programs, we moved back to her home town in Florida. Fortunately, it led me back to the coast where we have enjoyed raising four daughters and when time has allowed, boating and fishing. I feel blessed to practice with my wife and two fantastic partners, Dr. Valerie Minor and Dr. Brad Mokris. As Jacksonville, Fernandina Beach and Macclenny, FL, orthodontists, orthodontics is our passion. We feel certain that our orthodontic office will continue to provide great orthodontic care for patients in and around Macclenny, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beaches, Fernandina Beach, Ponte Vedra, Amelia Island, Callahan, Yulee, Baymeadows and Southside, FL, for many years to come.
